Colours of Autumn 🍂 26/10/2025

Following a hot dry Summer, it seems to me that Autumn has crept in quietly - gently settling into and over the landscape.

The dew sparkled early mornings and evenings have given way to a denser, cooler feel in the air. Soft clouds drape - lower than before, partially concealing the outlines of familiar distant hills. Nearby trees ghost dance in and out of visibility as misty tendrils flow and curl across the harvested fields.

Remnants of a short sharp rainburst lie puddled along the verges. The parched soil is still too firm on the surface to readily absorb the much needed water .. but as the season progresses with a few more showers, the crust will soften and the thirsty earth will be replenished.

I trust that nature knows what she is doing and if we live in reciprocity with her, what should happen, will happen all in good time.
